Since temperatures have started to head into preferable ranges I have had a blast dressing for the new fall season.  I have always been addicted to button down shirts and mad for plaid.  My new loafer obsession has kicked into high gear and I’ll be on the lookout for a nice pair at a reasonable price (or on sale).  New booties have been found (at Marshalls for $20!!  High five!).  Boots pulled from the closet and dusted off, made for walking, have been making a debut as well.  Scarves, oh scarves…  I can’t explain how excited I get to dress for milder temperatures.  Recent wears:

My new loves.  Extremely soft on the inside with a fur lining, just enough Western flair stitching mixed with a more modern shape, and a color that I can make go with anything.  For twenty bucks, that’s a steal.

Current Kate Sale ♠

Ready for Friday?  That’s usually a silly question.  I am definitely ready for the long weekend!  I am going to enjoy a nice relaxing weekend with some major downtime (and college football), however I know there are so many sales gearing up right now!  I am sure that most of America will be online searching for a great deal or outside cluttering the malls and boosting the economy this weekend!  I was “window browsing” tonight just dreaming of all the dollars discounted in the next few days to come.  Let me share some of my favorite current sale items from Kate Spade:

Wouldn’t these be beautiful and useful?  The perfect red cocktail dress, the phone case that can break the ice, the makeup bag that makes cleanup easy and lugging around beauty products more enjoyable, and a two-toned beau clutch that I have been in love with since I laid eyes on it months ago.  Oh, smitten.

I hope you enjoy your Friday & get your long weekend off to a lovely start!  ♥xo Kathryn

Shop til’ ye drop

One of my friends and I have been so looking forward to this moment for months.  The Kate Spade store in Richmond is finally open!  We planned a visit and we were not disappointed! ♠♠♠  Everything was cute, even down to the handheld mirror they have available for checking out yourself while trying on earrings.  The store was styled to perfection and the ladies working were to die for.  Such a 5 star experience.

We came, we saw, we conquered! Celebrated and “cheers-d” with coffee after.  It was such a great day!  We also made a few other stops…

All in all it was a great time!  We hit several shops and it looks like we did major damage, but most all of the bags we had only held one item.  We splurged without going too crazy, which is needed sometimes!  I found a Marc Jacobs bag that I lusted after and I tried on a few pairs of shorts in J Crew (I decided on the green floral pair on top – was on major sale! score!).  We indulged in cake pops from our favorite cupcake shoppe (Pearl’s Cupcake Shoppe) and we soaked up all of the girly time we spent together.  I can definitely say bonding over a mutual love of Kate Spade ♠ is amazing!  Find your shopping soul mate and go window shopping with a coffee in hand!

(**Special thank you to my friend, Amanda, for letting me put her sweet face on here!)

I hope you savor the little moments in life!

Coming Soon, ♠ Spade Alert

Kate Spade Love Letter

It is safe to say that if I had to choose a favorite brand Kate Spade ♠ would fit the bill.  The color and classic style suck me in and I wish I could have one of everything.  Everything is vivid, colorful, and fun while still remaining chic and timeless.  From home décor to heels to purses and jewelry, they have most everything a girl could want.  Thankfully you can purchase online and a lot of retailers carry their products so you don’t have to be near a store, buuutttt……

They are opening a store in the Short Pump Town Center (Richmond, Virginia), hopefully by the summer, fingers crossed!  I can’t wait!  My friend and  I have already planned a date to go visit to “ooh” and “aah” at all of the beauties inside.  I’m also looking forward to seeing how they style the store and their window displays.  I’m sure it will be a sugar rush for my eyes.  For a girl to find out that one of her favorite brands or stores is coming to her area soon, it’s an elation like no other!

Office Love♥

Desk Accessory Wish List

I have a desk wish list. I am borderline obsessed with office supplies (August is one of my favorite months due to school supplies being front and center). Pens, markers, calendars, washi tape, craft supplies, i.e. glitter… oh Martha Stewart, Martha Stewart… I could go on and on, but I’m starting to drool.  I thought I would put together a “wish list” for office supplies. From Kate Spade to Sugar Paper to Waiting On Martha there are so many places to get chic, useable office items. One thing my mother taught me, love everything in your house, and BE ABLE TO USE IT, no sense in living in a museum where you can only look, not touch.  Same goes for your work space.

My tips:  If you’re going to spend hours at a desk, you might as well LOVE what you’re staring at.  Go ahead and get a cute background (wallpaper, whatever you want to call it) for your computer as well!  Ashley Brooke Designs creates a new wallpaper each month (FOR FREE DOWNLOAD!! YIPPIE!!) and it can be used for your computer, tablet, or iPhone.  Pick up a cute mug from TJ Maxx or the back of your cabinet at home to house all of your pens and pencils.  (Here’s a great excuse to use a DIY for mugs you’ve been pinning on Pinterest for months!)  Small bowls or ramekins make a great holder for pushpins or paperclips.  If you have a place for everything it makes it so much easier to keep things neat and looking great.  Dust often and keep everything in its rightful place.  A dirty desk can create disarray which can carry over into your work or attitude.  Find or make items you love.  Keep in mind less is more, clutter is not good for a good work environment.  If you can keep fresh blooms at your desk those might also help brighten your mood.  Enjoy!
